No argument on God’s intention for us to Love. But I have to ask, should this be reflected in how we vote? How do we determine that?

That is the ever elusive question, isn’t it? I tend to vote on policy, based on what I think is the most achievable and can produce the best good, and that seems to be, (a subjective phrase I know), most aligned with what I believe God‘s word teaches. Of course, there are people who wouldn’t disagree with that, but would draw opposite conclusions on what they think God’s will teaches. I’ve read a variety of Christian political theory, and none of them address who to vote for. How could they? They were written at particular times and places, and thus cannot keep up with what’s going on in the present political climate in which we live, at least specifically. I guess that’s a long-winded way of saying, I could give a person my opinion on who they should vote for and lay out what I hope would be a truth and love-driven argument based on policy, etc., but at the end of the day, there’s no divine word from God on what candidate to choose. I wish God would send us an email telling us what candidates to choose each election cycle. That would be nice. Thanks for your question. it provides a lot of good food for thought.
