About Walking Points
Welcome to Walking Points, a fellowship of thinkers and guides passionate about helping you walk faithfully with Jesus Christ in every area of your life. Our mission remains unchanged - to equip and encourage you to live as a disciple of Christ in today’s world. However, we’re expanding our reach by introducing a team of writers who bring their own unique insights to this shared mission.
You’ll meet Augustus Merriweather, who reflects on the wisdom found in Southern culture, godly manhood, and timeless traditions. Russell F. Scruton will provide a deep dive into the Christian worldview, political philosophy, and the rich legacy of Western civilization, advocating for truth, tradition, and the good society. Rich Baxter, a pastor with decades of experience, will share encouraging and winsome counsel for your spiritual walk, blending theology with practical wisdom for daily life. And finally, I, Dale Tedder, will continue to offer resources on Christian doctrine, apologetics, spiritual growth, and living a life that honors Christ in every sphere.
At Walking Points, we explore not only how to navigate the everyday challenges of faith but also the deeper subjects that shape our world, from Christian apologetics to Bible studies, from the great tradition of Western civilization to practical wisdom for daily living. Whether you’re interested in strengthening your faith, defending your beliefs, or simply growing in wisdom, there’s something here for you. Also, we occasionally “take requests” so if you have any topics, you would like to get our perspective on, please reply in the comments and we’ll see what we can do.
We invite you to explore, engage, and subscribe to our newsletter for regular updates, reflections, and resources designed to inspire and challenge you on your journey with Christ. Join us as we walk faithfully together.
A Little About Me
My name is Dale Tedder, and I am a pastor at Southside Methodist Church. I am married to Suzanne, and we have four wonderful children. I love teaching key truths from the Bible to help folks in their everyday walk with Christ, whether it’s in Sunday morning worship, weekday Bible studies and small groups, one-on-one discipleship, spiritual direction, pastoral care, writing books and study guides, my podcast, or what I write here at the newsletter. In all of it I want to offer biblical principles, encouragement, and action steps to help folks flourish in their walk with Christ.
