Walking Points Weekly
A Weekly Roundup of Discipleship Resources You May Have Missed During the Week
Happy Friday!
Welcome to the Walking Points Weekly Roundup! This newsletter is intended to offer you encouragement and next steps for walking faithfully with Jesus so you can flourish here and now and finish your journey well. Therefore, if today’s newsletter blesses you in any way, please share it with a friend (and make sure to subscribe to it if you got it from it someone else).
Stand Firm
I wanted to let you know about a new newsletter for men. It’s called Stand Firm, and you can subscribe to it (FREE) by clicking here. The subtitle of the newsletter is, “Pursuing Skill in the Art of Godly Manhood.” I am excited about some of the ideas I have to minister to men via Stand Firm. Reaching men for Christ has never been more important than now. Young men, in particular, are turning to every other place but the church right now, and so I really want to reach out to them. Thus, whether it’s men who have been walking with Christ for many years, those who are young and just starting out, or all the men in-between, I have some ideas I hope and pray will connect with and bless them. (You will not receive the Stand Firm newsletter via email unless you subscribe specifically to it. I chose not to automatically include everyone on the Walking Points newsletter list so as not to overwhelm your email boxes without your permission.)
And so, please subscribe to Stand Firm if you are a man or someone who has a special man in your life that you believe would be blessed by what is offered there.
Advent
Advent is just around the corner. I’ve been brainstorming about how we might celebrate the Advent season together. Therefore, if you have any ideas, please send them my way. From the Walking Points newsletter to the podcast, there are many ways we might prepare for the coming of our Lord. I’d love to get your creative input. (Feel free to start sharing in the “comments section” below.

This Week’s Book Highlight
This study was written as a follow-up to, "Lord of All: A Study of the Person and Work of Jesus Christ." In that study we examined who Jesus Christ is, what he did (and continues to do) on our behalf, and why it matters.
The purpose of these 12 lessons is to guide your thinking about your own pilgrimage of following Jesus Christ, the Lord of all. It will hopefully also encourage and equip you to invite others to join you in your journey with Jesus. Each lesson contains a reading, as well as an in-depth Bible study, to help you reflect upon Christ’s call of discipleship in your life.
This book and study guide is ideal for personal use or to help guide study and discussion within a small group or larger Bible study class. May the Lord richly bless you as you seek to know him more clearly, love him more dearly, and follow him more nearly, in every sphere of your life. (CLICK HERE to learn more about the book or order it for yourself or your small group of Bible study.)
